Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, endorsed the 6th edition of the Social Media Digest Summit, scheduled to hold on November 13, 2025, in Abuja.
The summit’s theme is ” *The Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Leveraging Social Media”.
In a letter addressed to the summit’s convener, Mr. Jacob Aondoaseer Wuese, Olawande stated,
“I write to formally endorse the 6th edition of the Social Media Digest Summit, which I believe is in accordance with the priorities of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, and the commitment made by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development to aid initiatives, programs, and conversations among youth.”
The Minister noted that “artificial intelligence is transforming global communication, businesses, and social interaction.” He added, “As the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, I recognize and appreciate the critical role your summit plays in youth development.”
The summit will feature activities such as contests, awards, essay competitions, and school clubs.
Past themes have addressed youth unemployment, electoral credibility, and development in Nigeria’s digital age.
The event has received major sponsorship and support from Professor Sebastine Hon, SAN, and several government and non-state actors.
The summit is expected to include panel discussions, community interventions, and recognition of outstanding contributions to youth development and digital excellence.
