Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has organised a one-day Sensitization Campaign on Innovations for Officers on grade level 7-10, focusing on the implementation of innovation in the Federal Civil Service.
Speaking at the event in Abuja, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, mni, emphasized the importance of innovation in today’s rapidly evolving world.
He urged participants to embrace a culture of innovation, share valuable insights, and drive positive change within their respective departments.
Dr Kana ably represented by the Director Planning, Research and Statistics of the Ministry, Lawan Ibrahim said the campaign gears towards equipping staff with the knowledge and skills to identify incremental improvements, challenge the status quo, and find creative solutions to challenges.
Deputy Director overseeing Reform Coordination and Service Improvement Department, Hajiya Bilkisu Dada in her welcome address thanked the Permanent Secretary for his readiness to drive innovation and reform in the Federal Civil Service.
She stated optimism that the innovation sensitization campaign will be a valuable learning experience for all participants and further encouraged the participants to participate actively and embrace the spirit of innovation.
Hajiya Bilkisu stated that innovation is a viable tool to make Civil Service have global acceptance and urged all Civil Servants to embrace the changes the on going reforms will bring.

Similarly, the Deputy Director Service Innovation in Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation Mr Henry Nwaedo while facilitating the sensitization spoke on “Overview of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP25) and Implementation of Innovation in the Federal Civil Service: Challenges and Prospects”. He reiterated the Federal government commitment to improve the welfare of the staff, enhance citizen’s engagement and ensure Civil Service that will be envy of others.
Then one- Day sensitization campaign was concluded with a vote of thanks by the Deputy Director, Innovation of the Ministry Mrs Adedeji Fransisca Fela . The event had in attendance Directors of the Ministry and officers drawn from various Department and Units of the Ministry.
