Bestseller Founder Visits Tinubu, Explores Investment Opportunities in Nigeria

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday received Denmark’s richest man, Mr. Anders Holch Povlsen, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bestseller and Chair of the Bestseller Foundation, at the State House, Abuja.

According to photos and details shared by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, on his official X handle, the visit underscored the growing partnership between Nigeria and Denmark in trade, technology, and sustainable development.

Discussions during the meeting focused on potential investment collaborations, particularly in digital innovation, youth empowerment, and industrial growth. Mr. Povlsen, who was accompanied by the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Jens Bach Hansen, expressed his foundation’s interest in supporting projects aligned with Nigeria’s digital transformation and green economy agenda.

President Tinubu welcomed the initiative and assured the Danish delegation of Nigeria’s readiness to provide a conducive environment for foreign investment and sustainable business expansion.

Also in attendance were the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani.

Observers say the visit reflects renewed international confidence in Nigeria’s economic reforms and highlights the administration’s continued drive to attract global investors into key sectors of the economy.
