The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has achieved a major production milestone with 90,000 driver’s licences printed at its Lagos Print Farm in two weeks, as part of efforts to clear backlogs and enhance service delivery nationwide.
Speaking on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, during an inspection of the Lagos Print Farm, Corps Marshal Dauda Biu said the new high-capacity printer, capable of producing 1,800 licences per hour, has transformed operations at the centre.
“This achievement underscores our resolve to modernise the entire driver’s licence production process,” Biu said. “We are working around the clock to ensure that every pending application is processed without delay.”
The Corps Marshal noted that the Lagos facility now operates on a 24-hour schedule, driven by technology and supported by trained personnel to ensure efficiency, transparency and quick turnaround for applicants.
He added that the FRSC would replicate the Lagos model in other regions to ensure uniform service standards across the country. “Our goal is simple, to make the driver’s licence process faster, smarter and more reliable for every Nigerian,” he said.
