The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a mop-up examination for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2025.
According to a statement disclosed by JAMB, 96,838 candidates will participate in the exercise, which will take place in 183 designated centers across the country.
The mop-up exam will cater to three categories of candidates: 5,096 spillover candidates from previous sessions, candidates who were unable to complete biometric verification during the main UTME, and 91,742 candidates who were absent from either the main or rescheduled examinations.
JAMB clarified that the opportunity is exclusive to those registered for the 2025 UTME.
Eligible candidates can begin printing their examination notification slips from Monday, June 23, 2025, to confirm their exam centers and other details.
“Saturday, June 28, has been approved for the conduct of the 2025 UTME mop-up examination. This examination will accommodate the 5,096 spill-over candidates and those who failed biometric verification during the main exercise.”
