The National Assembly Library Trust Fund (NALTF) marked its one-year anniversary since its formal unveiling by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on May 29, 2024. The celebration, themed “One Team, One Dream – Mission Possible,” was attended by prominent figures, including Rt. Hon. Henry Nwawuba, Executive Secretary of NALTF.
“We were created with a bold mandate — to be the engine room for knowledge-driven legislation in Nigeria. In just one year, we have begun turning vision into action,” said Rt. Hon. Henry Nwawuba.
Dr. Victor Dare, Group Managing Director of Better Ways Group, delivered a keynote seminar on “Organizational Culture and Attitudinal Change”. He emphasized the importance of workplace values like Service, Professionalism, Integrity, Collaboration, and Excellence (SPICE).
The NALTF has made significant strides in providing access to valuable resources, including the operationalization of the e-Library with over 2,000 resources. The Legislative Museum, equipped with immersive virtual reality technology, was also launched during the celebration.
Rt. Hon. Nwawuba expressed gratitude to the team for their dedication and commitment. He reiterated NALTF’s mandate, including acquiring and managing resources, driving digital transformation, and fostering public access to knowledge.
The celebration featured trivia sessions, photo moments, staff recognition, and an interactive session between staff and the Executive Secretary. As NALTF looks to the future, it remains dedicated to transforming legislative knowledge and promoting informed decision-making in Nigeria.
