NIGAV Center Seeks Ministry’s Endorsement for King and Queen of Air as Aviation Ambassadors

Chairman, Nigeria Aviation (NIGAV) Center Mr Fortune Idu has stated that mandate of NIGAV Center is to promote Aviation best experience, best practices, and to give back to the society.

While thanking the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana mni for the reception despite his busy schedule said the essence of the courtesy visit was to bring the King and Queen of Air for Permanent Secretary’s endorsement and support.

He explained that all the airlines usually gather to contest for the post of King and Queen of Air and the last event on 11th April, 2025 was won by Mr Henry Chika Amaefula of ValueJet Airline and Miss Aisha Yakub of Xejet. Idu described them as “befitting ambassadors of aviation industry”
He explained that the contest holds 11th April, every year with the intention of promoting integration among the airlines, passenger in flight experience, culture of interaction and giving for the industry.

While answering questions from our correspondent, the Crowned King and Queen of the Air said their one-year tenure will be full of dedication to duty, sacrifices to the less privilege and facilitating the welfare of the Cabin Crew. They appealed to the Permanent Secretary to help them create platform through which they can speak to the public about the danger of unruly behaviors of passengers on board of flight.

They urged passengers to avoid behaviors that may affect their safety on board and assured that the Cabin Crew are trained to help passengers have safe trip.
