FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says the Administration’s ongoing infrastructure projects have silenced critics, stressing that progress in Abuja is now visible to everyone.
Speaking at the commissioning of internal roads in Dakibiyu and Jabi districts, Wike dismissed rumours of a fallout with President Bola Tinubu, describing them as “unnecessary propaganda.” He said his absence from the recent Council of State meeting was with the President’s approval due to ongoing project duties.
“I work for Mr. President. His focus is putting the country on the right path. The best response to blackmail is performance,” he said.

The new Dakibiyu road network links key federal institutions, including the Court of Appeal, Police Service Commission and FCT High Court, with improved access roads, drainage and lighting. Wike praised the contractor for on-time delivery and commended Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, for her support.
He said the FCT will sustain its development pace, with ten more projects to be commissioned in the coming days. “When you have the right leadership, you get things right,” he added.
