Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, has called on Nigerians to rekindle patriotism and value-driven leadership as a pathway to inclusive economic growth and national prosperity.
The statement, signed by Mohammed Manga, FCAI, Director of Information and Public Relations, said the minister made the call on Friday in Abuja when she received members of the Committee for the 6th Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe Annual Memorial Lecture and Award, led by Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, former Governor of Niger State and Chairman of the Committee.

“Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe’s ideals of patriotism, education, and public service remain timeless. It is our duty, as leaders of today, to translate those ideals into economic empowerment and opportunities for all Nigerians,” Uzoka-Anite said.
She reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to sound fiscal management and inclusive economic policies under the Renewed Hope Agenda, describing such recognitions as motivation “to serve even more diligently.”
Speaking earlier, Dr. Aliyu, who led the delegation, said the visit was to formally notify the minister of her nomination for the prestigious award, noting that unity and shared vision remain the foundation for sustainable national development. The memorial lecture and award ceremony are scheduled for November 2025.
