A suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion has been reported near the Abacha Barracks bridge, a key link along the Nyanya-Keffi expressway. Preliminary information indicates that the blast resulted in the death of an individual believed to be the suspected attacker.
In response, security operatives have been deployed en masse to the area to contain any potential fallout. Intelligence sources suggest the possibility of a secondary threat, although this is yet to be confirmed.
